I thoroughly enjoy the vibe at this vet.
The staff is always courteous and kind.
They really care about the pets and actually acknowledge them.
The facility is clean.
And I like I can get my pets prescribed food from here.
I was thoroughly impressed with the kindness and care of the staff here even through a difficult situation. I had originally boarded my dog for a long weekend here. The day I was to return my girl became extremely ill at no fault of the clinic. She was already 14 yrs old and I had already been informed by another vets office that her liver levels were of concern.
The vet called me immediately during one of my layovers to inform me of the situation and explain their concerns. She asked to perform some tests and contacted me as soon as they had results. Unfortunately my dog had a large mass in her abdomen and her kidney and liver levels were extremely high. The doctor was honest with me and upfront about the fact that she really felt there was nothing they could do for my girl. Since I was on my way back, she told me they could keep my girl comfortable until I came back and they could show me all the results in person and I could make a decision from there.
I was able to make it to the vets office before my girl worsened. They gave us a private room with a blanket on the floor and played soothing music while we waited for the doctor. I was able to spend some time cuddling and talking to my girl before the vet came in and explained everything. The decision was clear and even though it broke my heart to let my girl cross the rainbow bridge, I couldn't let her suffer anymore just so I could have more time with her. The doctor explained the whole procedure and allowed me more private time with my girl to say my final goodbyes. Everything was extremely peaceful. Finally they came in and put my baby to sleep as she lay in my lap and I held her and talked to her. I was again allowed some time afterwards to spend some time with her before I left.
Given the circumstance, this was the best experience I could've asked for. I truly felt the employees here really cared about my dog and I. I had meant to ask for a print of her paw since I didn't have one, but forgot to ask in the moment. After leaving, I wasn't expecting to hear back from the clinic; however, a week later a Sympathy card arrived for the clinic and the best part about it was that there in the middle of that card was the paw print I had meant to ask for. That meant the world to me in that moment and I am so thankful for Churchville Veterinary Clinic for helping me through such a difficult moment. I can't thank you enough.
Local vet with an amazing, friendly staff. The recent renovations to the clinic make this place top notch! They are very busy, however appointments can usually be made within 2 weeks, and if they have a cancellation... Same day appointments are filled! Nail trims are also quick n easy through the kennel 15mins. Reasonable prices.
This place has turned into a simple money grab. Every single time I have been here with my dog, I’ve had to wait 15+ minutes past my scheduled appointment to be seen. I booked an appointment online and chose from the drop-down but also noted my dog has a potential ear infection. I had a work obligation come up and I was 15 minutes late however I spoke to the front desk an hour before my appointment and then again 30 minutes prior and they assured me it was fine. No mention of a fee or some special visit cost. Upon arrival they tell me I’m getting a fee either way because I was late, and that I would have to pay an EXTRA fee to have my dogs ear looked at because it’s not what the appointment was listed for. I asked the technicians to simply tell me if it looks like an ear infection with no commitment of diagnosis just to make sure I can take care of my dog since it was made clear my dog needing that is wildly inconvenient. They refused to give an answer and only said “wellll if it was MY dog I’d have it looked at”.
This place is overpriced, which I was able to deal with because they were recommended to me specifically for my lab. That being said, they’ve clearly reached a client volume where they don’t care about how they treat their customers. All in all, I had a Lyme booster, nails clipped, and they looked at my dogs ear. No medication (other than the common pitch that their marked up medicine is better than any other medicine) and the total was $160.
I strongly recommend a different vet if you expect any type of customer service or positive interactions.
For the business: remove your policy that states “you understand things happen and do your best to accommodate” because while you’re allowed to make us wait for 20-30 minutes, you JUMP at the chance to add fees for being 15 minutes behind. I’ve paid the “premiums” that come with you being my dogs vet with no complaints, and the past 2 visits I’ve had have been terrible and I’ve left with a bad taste about how I was treated.
I’ll be finding a different vet and I’d recommend others do the same.
First impression was great! The reception area is bright and clean and the staff was inviting. Everyone, especially David, were so kind and asked for my pet’s name (not mine!) which I love since she’s the patient! Dan was so gracious and came to got us and carried her for me away from the dogs and into the back. He asked many questions to make sure to have a good handle of the issues of my old girl. Dr. Buzzell was amazing because she spoke to me in easy to understand terms and I felt prioritized. She assured me that one of Chloe’s issues was not as serious as I assumed it to be. Winning!
I have now been to two of their offices and have been super happy with my visits . Highly recommend!
We recently took our 8 week old puppy in for his first visit. This was our first time using Churchville Veterinary Clinic and things went extremely well. The front desk staff made us feel welcomed and comfortable and the Vet and assistants were great! We used the online scheduling tool to book our first appointment and had no issues with navigating the system. We look forward to our next visit :-)
I was introduced to this facility too late, as my first three visits were my last with my lovely pup. Dr Brooks, specifically, is an honorable man; he is respectful and honest and has this old-soul way about him that resonates with me. While the results of my visits were beyond horrible, the entire staff there made this experience as smooth as possible. For my remaining pup, there is no other vet I'd choose. I trust them.
Amazing staff and place. I felt at home there. They cared for my dog just like it was one of their own. The vet tech had so much compassion. They were able to get us in asap due to a respiratory illness our sweet Sarah had. The vet was knowledgeable she didn’t rush me and she answered all of my questions thoroughly. I won’t hesitate to come back, and as a matter of fact, I scheduled a well visit check up for my other pup before I left.
